Apologies for the delay in getting this write up out, my primary writer broke her arm... In a bike accident just before the show! (Chloe hope you get well soon and stop being a hooligan, you getting old kid!)

Thank you to Michael and Lehan for reviewing the Cape Town show in a pinch:

If you’re looking for an experience that encompasses excitement, apprehension, terror, suspense and sheer exhilaration at the accomplishment of truly astonishing free-style motocross and other stunt riding, a night at Nitro Circus is it!

Cape Town outdid herself catering for a phenomenal event that was well worth every effort made to obtain tickets for the best seats. Even the seats that weren’t situated close to the arena presented great aerial views, and well-positioned big screens helped to ensure that not a single jaw dropping stunt was missed for those further away from the action in the arena. The service was smooth and efficient. The venue was easy to access and negotiate, though parking was, as always a little tricky. Staff at the show were unhurried but quick and effective in directing people to where they needed to be.

For those of us fortunate enough to be sitting closer to the arena, it may be said we had the privilege few would understand in that we felt like we were in the arena and part of the show.

The presentation and generation of anticipation within the crowd was expertly managed by the MCs, with appearances by Travis Pastrana himself behind the mic when he wasn’t conjuring up the excitement by riding in his usual daredevil style! They kept it entertaining and amusing and they kept us all on the edge of our seats while the riders kept our hearts in our throats from start to finish.

Audience participation was encouraged actively. A local rider, Nick de Wit, flew the South African talent colours high and proud! Holding his own with the international riders with enough grace and style to make the gravity-defying stunts look more like a dance. The sheer number of acts and the expertly choreographed riding and displays were worlds ahead of the 2014 Nitro Circus display and will serve to be a source of happy nostalgia until they next visit!
