So a few years back, an initiative got started, bringing a musical line up of together to create a night where the proceeds go to charity....yawn...so whats new. Music and charity...hmmm but then my ears perked up and I realised this was NOT the normal night of music and charitable giving. This was something far more unique and exciting...this was Sounds of the Suburbs.
Sounds of the Suburbs is an non-profit initiative which hosts nightlife events in order to gather funds and donations for the homeless on the streets of Cape Town. But, what is truly unique about the 3 stunning people who run it, is that they don't take a single cent for themselves. They work to get everything donated for the night, and 100% of the money made on the door is given to the nights charity.
100% to the charity !!!!
The funding goes to making a change in peoples lives
Last week I chatted to one of the 3 bodies behind the concept, Bianca Schwerin and found out a bit more about what we can do to assist this great cause.
, The Event:
The next event is at Madison Avenue, Cape Town on 17 September (Saturday) with some well known SA names, like Haezer and Chris Taylor, hitting those decks while you dance the night away with hundreds of other awesome peeps.
Last years event was spectacular, and CT is always good to do one better, so lets make 2016 the event to remember.
